Jacaranda FM is proud to announce the Top 10 finalists of their inspirational #HerPerfectPitch competition designed to empower and uplift women entrepreneurs in Mzansi.
After an extensive selection process of sorting 260 entries, an expert judging panel evaluated numerous innovative business ideas from South African Women entrepreneurs to short list the top 10 from the Top 30. The Top 30 enjoyed a special breakfasting session as well as some pitching and business advice from other talented women and from that pool of brilliant Top 30 contestants, the Top 10 finalists have been unveiled.
These incredible entrepreneurs represent a diverse range of industries and creative solutions, each with the potential to make a lasting impact to the economy. After being selected as the Top 10, each woman had to present her business philosophy at Jacaradna FM studios. The women were asked to pitch their business in terms of what good it does for the community and their strategic thinking behind their business model and marketing. These 10 entrepreneurs faced a ‘Shark Tank’ style panel where questions and probing took place alongside immediate feedback and mentoring.

In addition to vying for the top spot, each of the finalists will receive R100,000 worth of airtime on Jacaranda FM to promote their businesses and gain visibility among the station’s 1.3 million loyal listeners.

Each of these finalists brings a unique and inspiring business story to the table, demonstrating innovation, resilience, and leadership in their respective industries. They will now compete for the grand prize, which includes:
- R500,000 worth of advertising on Jacaranda FM
- Production of a custom radio advert, plus digital amplification
- A six-week mentorship program
- Tailor-made business model development
- Research, branding, digital, and PR consultations
